Himachal Pradesh Weekly Current Affairs:

Himachal gets best performing award in health and education sectors:

  • Himachal Pradesh has bagged best performing state awards in big states category in health and education sectors in the India Today State of the States Awards Survey.
  • Himachal Pradesh had a high literacy rate of 83 percent and was second after Kerela.
  • There were 15556 government and 3252 private educational institutions in the state in addition to 139-degree colleges, five universities, one central university, six medical colleges, and IIT whereas AIIMS was also coming up.
  • Every effort had been made to provide quality health services to people at their door-steps.
  • The state government had launched the HimCare scheme with a provision of free treatment up to rupees five lakh per family in registered hospitals and Rs. 42 crore had been spent on treating 43,000 patients so far.
  • Ayushman Bharat Yojna was being implemented effectively by the state and more than 35,000 patients have been treated by spending Rs. 33 crores so far.
  • Another scheme named Sahara Yojna had been started for taking care of economically weaker sections and patients affected with serious diseases like cancer, paralysis, muscular dystrophy, thalassemia, and Parkinson, etc.
  • Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Kosh had been set up under which assistance of more than rupees four crores had been provided to 192 beneficiaries.

State Government to set up PMU to strengthen tourism:

  • With the aim to strengthen tourism in Himachal Pradesh, the State Government has planned to set up a Project Management Unit (PMU) to support the Tourism department.
  • PMU would be set up for investment promotion grounding and handling of event management in the State.
  • The best practices of other states would be adopted for the development of the tourism sector in the State.
  • This would work as an employment generation engine, benefiting the youth of the State.
  • Setting up of PMU would help develop a focussed outreach and promote Himachal Pradesh as a brand in terms of tourism.

हिमाचल को स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा क्षेत्रों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन का पुरस्कार मिला:

  • हिमाचल प्रदेश ने इंडिया टुडे स्टेट्स ऑफ़ द स्टेट्स सर्वे में स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में बड़े राज्यों की श्रेणी में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले राज्य पुरस्कार प्राप्त किए हैं।
  • हिमाचल प्रदेश में साक्षरता दर 83 प्रतिशत है और केरल के बाद दूसरे स्थान पर हैं।
  • राज्य में 139 डिग्री कॉलेज, पांच विश्वविद्यालय, एक केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय, छह मेडिकल कॉलेज और आईआईटी के अलावा 15556 सरकारी और 3252 निजी शिक्षण संस्थान है।
  • लोगों को उनके घर-द्वार पर गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करने का हर संभव प्रयास किया गया है।
  • राज्य सरकार ने पंजीकृत अस्पतालों में प्रति परिवार पांच लाख रुपये तक के मुफ्त इलाज की व्यवस्था के साथ हिमकेयर योजना शुरू की थी। अब तक 43,000 मरीजों के इलाज पर 42 करोड़ खर्च किए गए थे।
  • आयुष्मान भारत योजना को प्रभावी ढंग से राज्य द्वारा लागू किया जा रहा है और 35,000 से अधिक रोगियों का इलाज 33 करोड़ रुपये खर्च करके किया गया है।
  • सहारा योजना नाम की एक अन्य योजना आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों और कैंसर, पक्षाघात, मांसपेशियों में डिस्ट्रोफी, थैलेसीमिया और पार्किंसन, आदि जैसी गंभीर बीमारियों से प्रभावित रोगियों की देखभाल के लिए शुरू की गई थी।
  • मुखिया चिकित्सा कोष की स्थापना की गई थी, जिसके तहत 192 लाभार्थियों को चार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की सहायता प्रदान की गई थी।

पर्यटन को मजबूत करने के लिए पीएमयू स्थापित करेगी राज्य सरकार:

  • हिमाचल प्रदेश में पर्यटन को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से, राज्य सरकार ने पर्यटन विभाग का समर्थन करने के लिए एक परियोजना प्रबंधन इकाई (पीएमयू) स्थापित करने की योजना बनाई है।
  • पीएमयू राज्य में निवेश प्रोत्साहन ग्राउंडिंग और इवेंट मैनेजमेंट को संभालने के लिए स्थापित किया जाएगा।
  • राज्य में पर्यटन क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए अन्य राज्यों की सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं को अपनाया जाएगा।
  • यह राज्य के युवाओं को लाभान्वित करने के लिए एक रोजगार सृजन इंजन के रूप में काम करेगा।
