HP bags two awards in Outlook Traveller Awards-2023

  • Himachal Pradesh bagged two prestigious awards in the Outlook Traveller Awards-2023 function held at New Delhi.
  • Himachal Pradesh won awards in Best Adventure Tourist Destination Gold Category for Bir-Billing in Kangra district and Best Eco-Tourism Destination Gold Category for Spiti in Lahaul-Spiti district.
  • Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) R.S. Bali received the awards.

CM earns a spot among Outlook Business Magazine’s ‘Changemakers of the Year’ 2023

  • Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has earned a spot on Outlook Business magazine’s impactful ‘Changemakers of the Year’ list for 2023, recognizing 23 individuals for their outstanding contributions and impact across diverse fields, fostering positive change in society over the past year.
  • A government spokesperson said that this prestigious recognition celebrates his exceptional leadership and noteworthy contributions, particularly in effectively managing the recent monsoon-related disasters.
  • He said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s commendable handling of the crisis sets him apart as the sole Chief Minister in the country to feature on this distinguished list.
  • His dynamic approach to governance and unwavering commitment to serving the state have earned him this remarkable accolade.

Governor releases book on “Sadbhavna ki Sarita Narendra Modi”

  • Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today released the book “Sadbhavna ki Sarita Narendra Modi” written by Dr. Jashbhai Patel at Raj Bhavan.
  • The Governor appreciated the efforts of Dr. Jashbhai Patel and said that he has written this book based on the activities and social service by Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat during his tenure.
  • The book has presented the context of his personality and goodwill.
  • He expressed hope that this book would prove helpful to the readers to apprehend the magnitude of Sh. Modi’s personality.

Himachal Bags first prize for Excellence in Horticulture

  • Himachal Pradesh has received the Best State Award for excellent work in Horticulture sector.
  • Secretary Horticulture, C Paulrasu received the honor from Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda at the 14th ‘Agriculture Leadership Conclave’ held in Delhi.
  • Himachal has achieved the first position in the country followed by the state of Uttarakhand and Kashmir.
  • It was due the initiatives and measures to promote and adopt natural farming, high density plantation and procurement of apples on per Kilogram basis, that the State bagged the first prize in Horticulture, stated Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi.
  • He said that the state has long been regarded as a horticultural state due to magnificent achievements in the production of fruits, mainly apple, various temperate fruits such as peach, pear, plum, apricot and the subtropical fruit crops such as mango, citrus, litchi, etc.
  • The state government is mulling to implement Cluster Development Programme (CDP) which has a great potential to transform the entire horticulture ecosystem said the Minister.

Himachal bags 2nd position for implementation of ICJS Project

  • Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated the Prosecution Department of the state for bagging 2nd position across India for implementation of Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) project ‘Prosecution Pillar‘.
  • The department was awarded during the 5th conference on good practices in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System/ICJS held recently in Delhi.
  • Director Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, in the gracious presence of Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, presented the award to Secretary, Home, Abhishek Jain, along-with other senior officers of the Prosecution Department.
  • The secretary Home briefed the Chief Minster with regard to ICJS program and All India e-Prosecution portal in which Himachal competed with other states.
  • Chief Minister expressed hope that the department will continue with such efforts in future to ensure transparency and accountability in the system, expediting justice to the poor and needy.

Governor released book titled “Honey – A Miraculous Product of Nature”

  • Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla released the book “Honey – A Miraculous Product of Nature” written by Dr. Rajesh Kumar at Raj Bhavan.
  • This book is based on the usefulness of honey itself and its various products.
  • Through the book, the author has provided essential information about other products based on honey to provide a good market to the people associated with this business.
  • Appreciating the efforts of the author, the Governor said that the produce of honey would provide remunerative prices to the farmers and they would be able to utilize this unique gift of nature on a large scale by using modern technology.

HP bags two Prestigious Awards at Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards 2023

  • Himachal Pradesh Government has secured two prestigious awards at the 12th edition of the Digital Transformation Conclave and Awards 2023, held at Leh.
  • The event, organized by GovConnect and ilouge Media in collaboration with the Information Technology Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh, recognized outstanding contributions to the Digital Transformation in the Government Sector.
  • The Secretary (Digital Technologies and Governance) and Secretary to Chief Minister, Abhishek Jain, received the both awards on behalf of the State. These awards are an acknowledgement of the State’s commitment to leveraging digital technologies for the betterment of governance and public services.
  • The awards conferred upon the State for the initiatives of the Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 and the HimParivar Project, both under the ambit of the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DT&G).
  • While congratulating the DT&G, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that these awards stand as a testament to efforts of the state government in fostering digital transformation. “The state continues to set benchmarks in leveraging technology for governance and public welfare, positioning itself as a frontrunner in the digital technologies,” said Sh. Sukhu.
  • The Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 is a centralized public grievances redressal platform in the State. This platform has successfully streamlined the process for addressing public grievances, offering a user-friendly and accessible mechanism for citizens to address their grievances which can be filed via toll free number, web application and mobile application. As of now 6,04,557 complaints have been dealt by the platform pertaining to 90 departments encompassing 10,000 officers. Of these, 5,93,693 (98%) complaints have been successfully disposed of, with 4,25,067 (70%) being disposed of with citizen satisfaction. This is amongst the highest in such centralized grievance redressal helplines being run across the country. Further, CM Helpline is also being integrated with – 181 Women Helpline, HRTC Helpline, 1077 Disaster Response, GST Helpline, Counselling for Drug De-addiction, etc. to make it a centralized call center for the State. Further to enhance the outreach of CM Helpline, a WhatsApp chatbot is also being introduced.
  • Meanwhile, HimParivar Project is an Entitlement-based Management System, which is being developed as an integrated State Social Registry. This initiative signifies the State’s forward-looking approach in utilizing technology for the comprehensive management of social welfare programs. The initiative proposes to utilize the socio-economic data of citizens, to inform them and assist them in accessing government services/benefits they are eligible for and provide all such information in one unified interface. The project shall also serve as a data repository to provide information for effective decision making and policy formulation for future programs.
