Mountaineer Praveen Singh conferred with Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award-2022 which was presented to him by President of India Droupadi Murmu at New Delhi.
He belongs to Kangra district, Praveen Singh is serving as ASI in BSF.
Praveen Singh has scaled more than 20 Himalayan Peaks including Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga twice.
CM releases ‘Samkaleen Sahitya’:
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released ‘Samkaleen Sahitya’, a book authored by Dr. Satyanarayan Snehi. Featuring articles from 17 scholars, the book provides a profound analysis of Hindi literature spanning the past six decades.
Dr. Snehi, a prominent figure in literature, adds another milestone with this being his eighth publication.
The Chief Minister said that the book would prove priceless for literary enthusiasts, critics and researchers, offering profound insights into the evolution of Hindi literature over the last 60 years.
Himachal recognized as “Best Performer” under State’s Start-up Ranking 2022:
Himachal Pradesh has been recognized as the “Best Performer” state under the “State’s Start-up Ranking 2022” in B category (having population less than one crore) which is the topmost recognition competing with States like Gujarat and Karnataka.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, organized an event “State’s Start-up Ranking 2022” at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi for grouping of states in various categories based upon the stage of ecosystem developed in the states and also felicitated the officers of the State who have done commendable work in propagating the Start-ups.
Himachal Pradesh is evaluated on seven reform areas and 27 action points that have a significant contribution towards propelling the start-up ecosystem.
The State was recognized as a Capacity Building Pioneer, Funding leader, Sustainability Promoter, an Incubation Hub, Mentorship Champion, an Innovative Leader and an Institutional Champion.
Som Datt Battu selected for Padam Shri:
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated Som Datt Battu for being selected for Padma Shri award as approved by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, for rendering distinguished services in the field of promoting Art.
Shimla based vocalist Som Datt Battu will receive the Padam Shri award for his exceptional contribution for promoting classical music.
Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start Up Yojna:
The State Cabinet meeting under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu decided to start ‘Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start Up Yojna, Phase (II) for setting up Solar Power Projects (SPPs) for the youth aged between 21 to 45 years besides achieving the ‘clean energy’ initiatives of the Government.
The scheme focuses on the installation of SPPs with capacities ranging from 100 kW to 500 kW, thereby contributing substantially to the state’s renewable energy targets. This will not only provide self employment opportunities but will also stimulate economic growth amongst the youth in times to come.
Under the Scheme, the participants will receive ‘monthly income’ of around Rs 20,000 for 25 years for a 100 kW to be installed in three bighas of land, and Rs 40,000 and rupees one lakh per month for the projects with a capacity of 200 kW and 500 kW, to be set up in five and ten bighas of land respectively.
The beneficiary of the scheme will have to pay just 10 percent of the amount as a security deposit whereas 70% bank loan will be facilitated by the Government and the government will also provide 30% equity.
