1. CM announces state-level status to Yamuna Sharad Mahostava:
- It is a three-day long festival held in Paonta Sahib, district Sirmaur.
- It is held in the month of October.
2. Cabinet decided to launch Medha Protsahan Yojana
- This scheme is to provide coaching facility to meritorious students of Himachal Pradesh for competitive examinations such as CLAT/NEET/IIT-JEE/AIIMS/AFMC/NDA conducted by UPSC/SSC etc.
- Under this scheme, financial assistance of rupees one lakh or as per the actual, whichever is less will be provided to the meritorious students whose family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
- A sum of rupees five crores will be spent under the scheme during the current financial year.
3. Jangi-Thopan Hydro Power Project given to SJVNL for execution:
- The Cabinet decided to allot 780 MW Jangi-Thopan-Powari Hydro Electric Project in Kinnaur district for execution to SJVNL.
4. The Cabinet accorded its approval to bifurcate Banuala Baroond Small Hydro Electric Project:
- The Cabinet accorded its approval to bifurcate Banuala Baroond Small Hydro Electric Project allotted to M/s Gayatri Hydel Projects(P) Ltd. into two stages i.e. stage-I Barnuala Baroond having a capacity of 2 MW in the elevation range of 1990-1765m and stage-II Barnuala Baroond–I having capacity 0.80 MW in the elevation range 1700-1615m.
- Banuala Baroond Small Hydro Electric Project is in district Chamba.
5. CM launches four new health schemes for State:
These are:
- Mukhaya Mantri Chikitsa Raahat Kosh.
- Mukhya Mantri Rajya Swasthya Dekhbhal Yojana.
- Himachal Pradesh Health Protection Scheme and Telemedicine scheme for Pangi in Chamba district.
6. CM announced to open Atal Medical and Research University in Ner Chowk:
- Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur announced to open Atal Medical and Research University in Ner Chowk medical college, Mandi.
7. Mega investors meet to showcase Himachal as an ideal state for investment:
- The State Government was contemplating to organise a mega investor event at Dharamshala probably during the month of February next year to attract investors to invest in the State.
- This meet would help in creating international and national visibility about State readiness to attract the investors.
- The State has added advantages like, investor friendly environment, ease of doing business, surplus power besides, skilled and talented human resources.
- This conclave would showcase Himachal Pradesh as an ideal State for investors to invest in sectors such as tourism, industry, power, agro-based industry and allied activities.
